Well, its all been a bit bonkers hasn’t it? I hope you are all ok? I’m sort of coping with the lockdown but I can’t say that I am doing a particularly good job of multi-tasking. I wouldn’t go so far as to tout the words ‘epic fail’ but between home-schooling my daughter, trying to do my day job from home and filtering through all the fake news, social media threads, online classes, zoom invites and virtual pub quizzes is just impossible. And that’s without trying to watch reruns of Channing Tatum films and do the washing up!
But I need to stay creative and carve out some time for me, so in that spirit-an almost war-time spirit you might say, I have partnered with Funny Women to host and produce, ‘The Funny Women Survival Guide’, a topical chat show featuring Britain’s best female comedians.
The first episode is now live on Spotify, Acast, Stitcher, Deezer and will soon be up on iTunes too. Here is the link so you can have a listen:
On this episode, I chat to comedians Sian Davies and Laura Smyth about how they are coping during this rather unfunny COVID-19 crisis.
We chat boxed wine, dogs upstaging us on conference calls and how superheroes and even Paw Patrol can help you through the apocalypse! And of course, Lynne Parker, founder and CEO of Funny Women joins us in the (virtual) studio to tell us about the digital Funny Women Awards which are now open!
Stay tuned for more episodes each week and stay safe!
Much love,
